UNCLE DOUGIE'S RICH N'SPICY CHILI

WHAT YOU NEED:

Beef, Chicken, or Pork
Onion
Celery
2 Teaspoons Brown Sugar
4 Tablespoons Chili Powder
3 Cans of Black Beans (we like Bush’s Low-Sodium Beans)
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
Red Pepper
2 Cans Diced or Stewed Tomato
1/2 Bottle Rich N'Spicy Small Batch Bloody Mary Mix
Smokin' 'Potle Chipotle Hot Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

You know that left-over chicken, pork or beef you have in the fridge? ...

  1. Put bite-size chunks of your protein (fresh or left-overs) into a large skillet with olive oil and twice-cook it on high with 1 chopped onion and 1 cup of diced celery.
  2. Once onions caramelize, pour in a half bottle of Uncle Dougie's Rich N’Spicy Bloody Mary Mix,  4 tablespoons of chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 2 teaspoons brown sugar and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Add 2 large cans of diced or stewed tomatoes and 3 cans of Black Beans (we like Bush's Beans Low-Sodium). Let this reduce for an hour or so, 'til the sauce is a rich brown-red.
  4. Before serving add 1/2 of a red pepper cut into 1/4" pieces so they stay on the crisp side.

If you like it hot, you'll know what to do-but nuthin' beats our Smokin' 'Potle Hot Sauce! Serve with cool sour cream, grated cheddar and chopped cilantro. It'll make it seem like it's above zero out there!

GREAT VEGETARIAN TOO! SKIP THE MEAT OR USE EXTRA FIRM TOFU!
